Providing comprehensive dental care for more than 10 years, the Toe River Children’s Dental Clinic continues to specialize in children’s dental care while also expanding to offer some adult services.

Early Detection and Prevention

First Check-Ups…The time to begin dental care is when teeth first appear, or at least by your baby’s first birthday. Baby teeth need the same diligent care as permanent teeth because they help children speak clearly, chew properly and create a path for permanent teeth to follow.

Early dental care…Detects problems in the early stage when they’re easier to fix and encourages the self-care habits that prevent future tooth decay.

Education…We are dedicated to teaching parents and children about proper dental care. We’ll gladly answer questions that might arise as your child grows. Whether you’re concerned about the impact of pacifiers or drinking from a bottle, worry about fluoride, wonder about the relationship of diet to dental health, or need to know how to protect your child’s teeth during sports…we’re here to help.

Dental Services
Toe River Children’s Dental Clinic offers the complete range of dental services in a kid-friendly, outpatient setting. However, if the dentist determines that dental surgery is necessary, our affiliation with Mission Health System provides continuity of care and rapid referral to Mission’s Children’s Dental Center, where appropriate. Our services include:

• Screenings and regular check-ups
• Cleanings
• Sealants (for children only)
• Fillings
• Crowns
• Extractions
• Dental procedures to fight decay

Expanded Services
Our dedication to dental health in the region includes expanded services:

• Adult dental care: As scheduling allows, Toe River Children’s Dental Clinic also serves adults receiving Medicaid or Medicare, as well as those who qualify for services under the North Carolina Farmworker Health Program.

• Head Start Program: We provide initial screenings to all Head Start patients in the region.

First and foremost, our team loves working with—and understands the unique needs of—children. In addition to a dental hygienist and dental assistant, your child’s care is delivered by experienced, board certified dentists.
